Meet my fellow Wild Rose Press romance author Peggy Jaeger.

Today I’m delighted to introduce my fellow author from The Wild Rose Press, Peggy Jaeger. Her latest contemporary romance, Hope’s Dream, releases today! Skiing, hot chocolate, smooching by the fireplace–just what you need to warm your heart in this chilly season.

Peggy  is a contemporary romance writer who writes about strong women, the families who support them, and the men who can’t live without them.

Family and food play huge roles in Peggy’s stories because she believes there is nothing that holds a family structure together like sharing a meal…or two…or ten. Dotted with humor and characters that are as real as they are loving, Peggy brings all topics of daily life into her stories: life, death, sibling rivalry, illness and the desire for everyone to find their own happily ever after. Growing up the only child of divorced parents she longed for sisters, brothers and a family that vowed to stick together no matter what came their way. Through her books, she has created the families she wanted as that lonely child.

Today, we’re talking to the protagonist of Hope’s Dream, Hope Kildaire. But first, a peek at her story.

Hope Kildaire gave up her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner when a car accident killed her father and left her mother an invalid. Working two jobs and caring for her mother leaves the twenty-seven-year-old with no time for fun or relationships. When a law firm representing her paternal grandparents sends her several letters, Hope ignores them. She despises the family who disowned her father and wants nothing to do with them.

Lawyer Tyler Coleman’s job is simply to obtain Hope’s signature on a legal document. Getting it is harder than planned, though, when an unexpected attraction blossoms between them. If Ty is honest with Hope about why he’s in Willow Springs, he’ll fulfill his assignment but may risk hurting her.

The opportunity to have everything she’s ever desired is at Hope’s fingertips. Will her dream come true at the expense of Tyler’s love?

Let’s meet Hope!

Tell us one unusual thing about yourself. I think I learned to ski the same time I learned how to walk. I don’t ever remember a time I wasn’t attached to a pair of skis during the winter months.

Who was your first love and what age were you? Oh, gosh! Jimmy Traverna was the cutest boy I ever saw. He had huge, huge blue eyes and pale blond hair. I fell in serious-forever-love in a heartbeat. And of course, since I was six, that lifetime love lasted until I was 7!

If you could relive one day, which one would it be? Think GROUNDHOG DAY, the movie for this one – you’ll have to live it over and over and… The day before my dad…died. Mom, dad and me skied all day like crazy. I can’t even tell you how many runs we did down the mountain that day, laughing, screaming, each of us trying to ski faster than the other. It was one of the top five days of my life. I’d really like to relive that day over and over, especially since I know the next day was so horrible and life-altering.

If you had to give up one necessary-can’t-live-without-it beauty item, what would it be? Well, since I’m out in the cold weather for so much time, I can’t ever give up skin care stuff, so I’d have to say something dumb like deodorant maybe!! Hee hee

What three words describe you, the person? Loyal, hardworking, focused.
