What’s all this nonsense about pumpkin spice, sweaters, and football? Here in the Pacific Northwest, we’re bracing ourselves for temps in the mid-80s. Call me a wimp, but air conditioning is a rare thing in PNW homes. Yesterday, Hubs and I took a walk along Tacoma’s new Frank Herbert Trail and Wilson Bridge, which connect the Ruston Way waterfront to Point Defiance Park. Named for Tacoma native son and author of the Dune series, the new trail winds around the Tacoma Yacht Club and offers lovely views of the Puget Sound. Check out this slide hill they’ve installed beside the bridge. Wheee!
