July already? Tempes sure does fugit! The day this goes live, the mover dudes will be loading all our worldly goods onto a truck bound for Las Vegas! Fare thee well, Gritty City (AKA Tacoma, Washington) until we meet again when we flee the desert heat next summer.
Time once again for the Insecure Writers’ Support Group’s monthly blog hop. The IWSG is a wonderful source of writerly wisdom, companionship, contests, anthologies, and more. Check it out here.
This month’s question: What would make you quit writing?
Writing is in my blood. It’s how I process my thoughts and feelings. Ask me for a clever quip or a quick decision, and I’ll splutter like Porky Pig. But give me some time to write out my thoughts, and I’ll (eventually) find the perfect bon mot. Or several bons mots. A plethora. A deluge. Oodles.
I’ve been a storyteller since I was old enough to understand what stories are, and I’ll be spinning tales on my deathbed. Give up writing? Why?! Even if I never see the level of acclaim and $$ I dream of, writing brings me joy. So, quit writing?
What about you? Have you ever been tempted to quit writing? What brought you back?

I feel so much more clarity in writing as well! If only there were a pause button when I need to give a good reply in person!
Hi,
Have a wonderful transition to your new home.
I don’t see you ever quitting writing. It is indeed in your blood.
Have a great month of July.

Sometimes the words just have to be released! Wonder if we could have been writing buddies back at Wuerzburg, lol, we just didn’t know. Safe travels to the new home.
Don’t want to splutter like Porky Pig!
I’m the same. Give me some paper or a computer and I can find answers for all my troubles and write a good story once in a while. 🙂

Ha, I’m one of those who can never come up with a pithy bon mot on the spot either. It always comes to me far too late. But then at least we can work those things into our writing!
Me neither, Sadira. I’ll never quit writing. I’m a storyteller like my father. Wonderful new release. I love the cover. All the luck with it! Have a beautiful weekend!
