Today’s #Thurds prompt on Twitter is PLEASE, and I came across a delicious snippet that from Sweet Slow Sizzle that is, alas, too long for the bird app. So, here’s a spicy excerpt from the next Bangers Tavern Romance.
“You okay, angel?”
“Kinda tired.” And so turned on I can barely breathe. “It’s been a long day.”
“Well then, let’s get you off your feet.” He danced her backward to the couch, tugged her down so they sat hip to hip, and scooped her legs across his lap. Heat smoldered in his heavy-lidded eyes as he stroked her jawline with a fingertip. “I need to confess something.”
Her heart boomed. Her sex throbbed in counterpoint.
“I have this secret fantasy.” He toyed with one of her pigtails. “Can I share it?”
“Please do.”
“I really want to unbraid your hair. I’ve never seen it loose.”
Whew! She peeled off the elastics and dropped them on the coffee table.
His gaze rapt, he slowly teased her hair free of the tight braids, then lifted a lock and stroked it against his cheek.
Her hands ached to touch him, but she clenched them in her lap, spellbound by the pleasure he took in caressing her hair.
Closing his eyes, he inhaled its scent. With a sexy grunt, he raked his fingers into the strands and fisted a handful, the tug sharply arousing.
Heat curled down her spine. He’s making love to my hair.
“So beautiful,” he murmured. “Like moonlight on dark water.” His eyes glittered. “Lana, I can’t explain the effect you have on me. When I touch you, everything gets brighter, sharper, sweeter.” His lips grazed the sensitive skin below her ear. “You’re magical.”
She felt herself melting, flesh and bones liquified by his tender touch. She had to force the words out now, before she lost the power of speech.
“I have a confession too. It’s a big one.”
