I can’t wait for next week’s release of Tiny House, Big Fake Fiancé!
You may have noticed how much I adore writing romance heroines who are sassy, snarky, and self-sufficient. (Hello, Margot from Love, Art, and Other Obstacles; Lana from Sweet Slow Sizzle; Lilo from Passionate Brew; Annie from The Billionaire’s Christmas Castle, and Hannah from Love, Legacy, and Little Green Aliens.) Of course, these women are wounded too, and sometimes stagger under the weight of baggage from their pasts. Don’t we all?
Y’all asked for more second chance romances, so while we wait for next week’s release of Book One in my new Tiny Houses, Second Chances Series, let’s meet my latest sparky, snarky, irrepressible heroine:
Name: Lilah Anabela Alves, know on the craft fair circuit as Lilith of Lilith’s Leathers.
Age: 35
Residence: Currently about to be homeless, unless she can reclaim the half-built tiny house she paid for, but that was delivered to Zax DuPré by mistake.
Appearance: Short and curvy with sharp dark eyes, frequently dressed in leather of her own design.
Profession: Skilled leather smith. Lilah crafts gorgeous custom jackets, pants, skirts, belts, bags, as well as accoutrements for private spicy times.
Goal: After years on the road, Lilah’s ready to plant some roots in Pinevale, WA. But first, she must pry Zax’s claws of the tiny house she paid for, damn it!
Obstacles: The hunky carpenter who made off with her house turns out to be the sizzling one-night stand she ghosted after their last Renaissance Faire.
To make matters worse: A missed cue leads to a fake engagement. Now they’re stuck together for two months while they finish her home and figure out how to break the news to his prudish auntie, who doubles as their landlord.
And even worse: There’s only one bed! And the more Lilah pretends, the harder she falls for her grumpy-bear roommate.
